This course is designed for UNISON reps. It is designed to introduce the basic principles of job evaluation and to enable learners to know what is expected from employers and from staff-side in the job evaluation process. The course is also designed to explore how to uphold best practice standards of job evaluation, and how to use job evaluation as an organising tool in workplaces.

This course is strongly recommended for anyone who is currently involved in job evaluation, as well as anyone who is interested in getting involved and/or using job evaluation as a tool to organise. Those in senior leadership positions in branches are encouraged to attend.

This course is part of a wider piece of work to uphold best practice job evaluation across the region and to improve UNISON job evaluation capacity.
