UNISON northern regional secretary Clare Williams said “The new UNISON Northern, Middlesbrough regional office provides an excellent central base from which to support UNISON branches and members in the south of the region. The office is located in a very pleasant and vibrant local environment, which has been greatly enhanced by the ongoing regeneration and development of the Middlehaven area in recent years.  This new office space also has a shop front, making it easily accessible for UNISON staff and members, being situated adjacent to Middlesbrough railway station and with excellent access to the road network. Having this type of regional office base in the south of the region is key to ensuring UNISON’s visibility and promoting of the importance of trade unions”
