From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women up to 10 December – Human Rights Day, the 16 days of activism against gender based violence campaign is a time to galvanise action to end violence against women and girls around the world.
16 days in 16 ways is a campaign initiated by the Centre for Women’s Global Leadership and as part of this an event is taking place at Newcastle College, in Parsons 807 on Friday 30 November at 10.00 am. Clare Williams, Regional Secretary is one of the key speakers and we want to see an excellent UNISON presence to support this important campaign.
